Important Notice
All brand-new items (e.g., appliances, TVs, beds, couches) must be wrapped with protective materials.
Optional All-Risk Insurance: Premium is 1.75% of the insured value (non-refundable). A minimum excess of R3,551.00 applies to all claims.
Get Sorted will not be held responsible for loss or damage unless additional insurance is requested and confirmed in writing. Customers are advised to arrange personal insurance if needed.
Payment Terms
Strictly EFT payments only – NO cash or cheques.
Full payment must be made before the move, and proof of payment must be sent via email.
Please use your full name as the reference when making a payment.
No bookings will be confirmed without an acceptance form and full payment.
Cancellations must be made in writing via email or fax (verbal cancellations will not be accepted).
50% of the quoted amount will be charged for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled move.
To ensure a smooth and efficient move, the client agrees to:
Provide accurate information regarding vehicle access, floor number, and any dismantling or carrying requirements. Incorrect details may result in additional charges.
Ensure all items are packed and secured before collection unless otherwise quoted.
Inspect goods before and after loading and unloading for any existing damage.
Be present or have a representative available throughout the moving process.
Prepare large items appropriately (e.g., soil must be removed from large pot plants before moving).
Defrost and empty refrigerators and freezers before the move. Get Sorted is not responsible for their contents.
Remove all personal items before our team arrives, including but not limited to:
Cell phones, laptops, tablets, MP3 players
Wallets, handbags, sunglasses, keys
Jewelry, watches, cash, credit cards
Passports, ID documents, driver’s licenses
Prescription medication, confidential papers
Get Sorted is not responsible for any loss or misplacement of these items.
Standby Fee:
Delays caused by the client will be charged at R350 per hour, payable before delivery.
Extra Service Fees:
Any additional items not included in the original inventory will incur an agreed-upon extra cost before loading.
Access Limitations:
If access restrictions prevent normal delivery, alternative arrangements must be made at the client's expense.
Exclusions: Get Sorted is not responsible for:
Disconnecting or reconnecting electrical, plumbing, or gas appliances.
Dismantling or assembling furniture unless arranged in writing.
Taking up or laying fitted carpets or floor coverings.
Damage to furniture or property during hoisting.
Items transported in unattended or unsecured premises.
Delays due to unforeseen circumstances such as roadblocks, weather conditions, or vehicle breakdowns.
Get Sorted operates under limited liability. We will not be held responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including:
Loss of income or business interruptions.
Emotional distress due to delays or damages.
Damage caused by improper packing by the client.
Goods damaged due to lack of protective wrapping, as required.
